Hello Family, Friends and fellow Bloggers and blog Readers!
I have missed blogging with you so very much!! These last two weeks, I have been busy doing a lot of a writing, a bit of blog admin, a lot of house and garden work, and a lot of fabric fun . But I thought it was time for a proper update.
So, come inside….
get comfortable…
and have a nice cup of tea ….
…with me
…while I tell you what has been going on in my Home Sweet Dreaming world these last weeks!
First up, a little Fabric shopping!!!
Of course at my favorite quilt shop: The Quilt Place in Nürrensdorf, Switzerland.
So what did I come home with????
Lots of lovely, fabric of course!!! A lot of Fig Tree and a lot of fun and vibrant summer colors. I love Fig Tree and I love Joanna Figueroa’s beautiful quilt and fabric designs!!
These two were freebies for buying too much fabric! I think I am even more in love with them than what I bought but they are like night and day, so let’s not compare!
The Above rose pattern is Garden Party by Blackbird Designs for Moda, the other unfortunately didn’t have a selvage on it.
So back to the Home Sweet Dreaming studio…
I made a little, last-minute hostess gift, for an intimate friends and family garden party we were invited to on the 1st of August, the Swiss National Holiday. I had to rush it but I loved making it and especially doing everything by hand, sewing and quilting, except sewing the binding on with the machine to the front.

After having a little too much fabric fun it was time to get back to my current work in progress. My cheery half-square triangle quilt.
I love the puckering created by hand quilting!
I’ve also been up to a lot of Embroidery, you can see more on that in a post I did here.
And planning quilts.
Finally, with so much going on, my sewing room has been in constant disarray, so I am constantly having to tidy and reorganize things. I found a new home for my fabric though this week, which especially made me happy.
So that is all I have for you today!
I hope you enjoyed your journey into my little Home Sweet Dreaming world and until next time, keep stitching!
Jodie
