So finally we have reached the last installment of my impressions from the 4th Annual Quilt Exhibit on the Farm, which was held in Wil, Zurich in May. If you have not yet seen them , I recommend you check out Part 1 here and 2 here. If not I hope you feel as inspired as I was by the final quilts I have to show you. Enjoy!
First up is this multi-media number:
Signs and Values by Verena Lenzlinger
Actually most of the next quilts are multi-media quilts. Especially this one, which I was just so inspired by. Unfortunately I didn’t get a picture of the information card.
I love this map of their hike that they put in, sewing along the route.
And of course the tea paraphernalia.
And the cute little sheep.
What a lovely memory quilt of a very special place.
The next quilt had bits of shells and other finds from a hike in Scottland, sewn directly on to the quilt.
Flotsam by Verena Lenzlinger
Another quilt, was inspired by the maker’s trip to England. I absolutely adore the colors and details this quilter put into this little quilt.
Northdumberland by Nelli Textor
It was just so beautiful.
Fly Fly Butterfly by Margrith Riedi
+2 Game, by Helene Suter
This one was another beauty.
Adventure 2 Plus, by Kätty Waddell
Another one I forgot to photograph the maker. Sorry!
Spring is here by Martina Lötscher
Primroses by Rösly Schwyn
Mrs. Bunny by Rösly Schwyn
After the quilt show, Yves and I took advantage of the good weather to walk up into the vineyards and around the village.
I just love all the timbered houses in the village.
So that is it for my little daytrip to Wil, Zurich. I guess I will definitely be going back next year.
Well I wish you all a great Sunday!
Jodie
